Coincraft is a family firm that was started in 1955. We are based in London and have a shop at 45 Great Russell Street, right across the street from the British Museum. We have been at this location since 1976 and the shop is open from 9:30 until 17:00 Monday to Friday and most Saturday’s from 10.00 until 14.30 – please telephone before visiting on a Saturday to check that we are open. We are dedicated to serving collectors all over the world. We sell coins, banknotes, medallions, ancient coins, antiquities and books. Coincraft only deal with collectors, we do not sell anything as an investment!
At the shop and on our website you will find a good range of coins, banknotes, ancient coins, medallions, antiquities and books available to buy. If you are visiting the British Museum, then pop across the street to say hello.
Every three weeks we publish a 24 page full colour tabloid sized newspaper called The Phoenix which is FREE on request, just order it by clicking this link https://www.coincraft.com/the-phoenix-our-free-publication – we will be happy to send you a complimentary copy. In it are offerings of coins, banknotes, medallions, ancient coins and antiquities at fixed prices. Many of the items are discounted from their original issue price, we run one of the largest secondary markets in this type of material.
As members of numismatic and trade associations we are governed by their rules and regulations. Some of the organisations that we are members of are: Professional Numismatic Guild (PNG), a member for 37 years and one of only six members outside the United States. American Numismatic Association (ANA), Professional Currency Dealers Association (PCDA), Antiquity Dealers Association (ADA), International Banknote Society (IBNS) to name but a few.
